Strength Cycle: Phase 2 – Week 1 of 7

Find Heavy Single Back Squat
*This phase will focus on developing a strong, proficient back squat, which is possibly the pinnacle movement in strength training. This phase, we will squat on Mondays & Fridays. Rather than finding an absolute 1RM, focus on squatting heavy for a single, but without any degradation in form. Doing so will set you up for success with the increasing percentages.

L: Jumping Pullups; Spl: Pullups; S: C2B
Squat Cleans – L: 75/55; Spl: 95/65; S: 115/75
Rest 60sec
*Pick a Squat Clean weight that you could do unbroken for 1 set, if you had to. But, for the purposes of this workout, we’d suggest breaking into 2 or 3 sets at the beginning. You’ll rest 60sec between rounds.
