Background
I have been involved with fitness for as long as I can remember. I played soccer and ran track & cross-country in high school and then focused solely on soccer during my college years. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with my Bachelors in Exercise Science & Wellness. After graduation, I turned to running 5K’s and mini-marathons as well as the typical globo-gym workout routines for my fitness since I no longer had a collegiate sport to keep me in shape and skinny. Yes, I said skinny. That’s all I cared about was being skinny and I was… skinny fat that is! I then turned to fitness competitions. I competed for three years and would get skinny for a few months and then gain it all back. I felt very accomplished on stage, but was still not happy with myself. I found CrossFit in 2012 and my entire mindset changed. I began working out because I wanted to, not because I had too. CrossFit was also a place where I could bring my competitive nature back out that I had been missing.
I have a passion for helping others achieve happiness within themselves physically and mentally. I love being able to educate individuals on proper nutrition as well as help them find a fitness routine that they can actually look forward to. On top of my educational background, I’m a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and CPR/AED and first aid certified through the American Red Cross.
