When did you join DCCF?
Joined DCCF in February 2015
Do you remember your first DCCF workout? What was that like?
I do not remember my first actual workout, probably because I was nervous! I survived and that’s what mattered
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting? i.e., Have you made #gainz?
I’m down 7 pounds in 6 weeks, and my short term goal was to go from 210 to 200, so I’m almost there, just 3 more to go
What class do you usually attend and what’s the best thing(s) about that particular class?
I usually attend the 530pm classes on M, T, Th, and the 930am Sat class. All the classes are great–I love the focus, and the intensity of the work once it gets rolling!
Favorite lifts?
All the Olympic lifts I am learning–its all new to me!
Tell us about one of your goals for 2015.
2015 goal: hit my target weight and maintain it while becoming stronger from head to toe
Any tips for new members?
If they’re new members they have already walked through the door and took the plunge…the rest is easy, just show up happy to have the opportunity
What are your hobbies, interests or talents outside of CrossFit?
I love college football and college basketball, so I’m about to go into the “off season” once the NCAA tournament is over– I will need DCCF to get me through the months until Labor Day weekend!
Tell us something interesting or surprising about yourself:
Well this answer goes along with the request for a photo: I run from cameras, so there aren’t many (any I hope) out there! I’ve been told I look like Tom Hanks, so if you see someone who resembles Tom Hanks at DCCF, it might be me…….or him!
